Ingredients

  • 12 oz fresh fettuccine
  • 7 tbsp butter
  • 5 oz grated Parmesan cheese
  • 2 tbsp heavy cream
  • Salt and Pepper

Instructions

Prepare the Pasta

  • Bring a pot of salted water to a boil.
  • Add the fettuccine to the boiling water and cook according to the package instructions.

Make the Sauce

  • While the pasta is cooking, melt butter in a large skillet over low heat.
  • Once the butter has melted, stir in the grated Parmesan cheese, ensuring the heat remains low to prevent clumping.

Enhance Creaminess 

  • For a creamier sauce, add a couple of tablespoons of heavy cream to the skillet.
  • Use a whisk to combine the ingredients, creating a smooth and velvety consistency.
  • Before draining the pasta, reserve a couple of tablespoons of the pasta cooking water. Stir this water into the Alfredo sauce to make it extra silky.

Combine Pasta and Sauce

  • Drain the fettuccine well.Add the drained pasta directly to the skillet with the sauce.
  • Toss the fettuccine until they are fully coated in the creamy sauce.
