Creamy Tomato Mustard Sauce

Ingredients

  • 2 tbsp mustard
  • 2 tbsp tomato paste
  • 1 tbsp grainy Dijon mustard
  • 1 cup white wine
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • 1 tsp tabasco
  • 1 tbsp butter
  • Salt and Pepper

Instructions

  • In a high-sided pot, add two tablespoons of tomato paste, two tablespoons of mustard, and one tablespoon of Dijon mustard.
  • Start cooking over medium heat, whisking constantly to ensure the ingredients don’t stick to the bottom.
  • After 2-3 minutes, add one cup of white wine and keep whisking.
  • When the sauce darkens and has reduced by 2/3, add 1 cup of cream and continue whisking.
  • Add one teaspoon of Tabasco, along with salt and pepper. Cook for another 2-3 minutes.
  • When the sauce begins to thicken, add one tablespoon of butter and mix well.
  • Enjoy!
